Ahmed is a consummate professional with over 7 years experience in Investment Banking. He has executed transactions in excess of US$ 1 billion from the beginning of his career till date. As an Associate in BlackBirch, He currently supervises the execution of BlackBirch’s investment banking, securities trading, principal investment and strategic consulting transactions.
Prior to joining BlackBirch Capital, Ahmed was a Senior Analyst in the Investment Banking division of Coronation Merchant Bank where he was responsible for detailed Financial Analysis, Business Model Assessment, Financial Modelling, Company Valuation, and Industry Research and Data Analysis to aid clients in executing landmark capital raising deals. He occupied the position of acting team lead of the M&A and advisory sub-division during a brief leadership transition period.
Ahmed was also a graduate teaching assistant in the Accounting department of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD). He holds a First-Class and Master's Degree in Accounting from Afe Babalola University Ado-Ekiti. He is also a CFA Charter holder, an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and an Advanced Financial Modeller certified by the Financial Modelling Institute.
