David has over 10 years of experience in Financial Advisory, Tax Advisory, Assurance & Auditing services. David serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at BlackBirch. Prior to Blackbirch, he founded Shelze Consulting, worked with Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, Vetiva Capital Management, ARM Investment Managers, CardinalStone Partners and Mazars Consulting in various capacities.
At Shelze Consulting, David has advised National and Subnational governments in Nigeria on ways to optimize their revenue generation efforts yielding over $24m additional revenue. David also worked as a portfolio manager, investment banking analyst and strategy consultant in the course of his career
David holds a B.Sc. in Accounting from the University of Lagos, where he graduated with a first class. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. David also has an MBA from the prestigious Lagos Business School and has attended Executive Management Programs at IESE Business School and the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB).
David also sits on the Board of Help Others Win Charity Foundation an NGO dedicated towards improving education in Africa.
