Rasheed holds a B.Sc Degree in Accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife; he is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, having qualified as a Chartered Accountant during his first year in University. He is also a Certified Systems Auditor and has over 17 years working experience spanning various functions within the Financial Industry - Investment Banking, Financial Control, Fund Management; and the Hospitality Industry.
He joined Investment Banking & Trust Company (now Stanbic IBTC Bank) shortly after graduating from College in 2002, where he was Deputy Head - Internal Audit. He was seconded, as a pioneer management staff, to start-up Stanbic IBTC Pensions Managers Limited in 2005 (currently the most successful PFA in Nigeria, in terms of funds under management and profitability; where he served as Financial Controller and later Head – Fund Administration until June 2008.
He then invested in Nigerian International Securities Limited; a Stockbroking and Investment Advisory Firm in July 2008 where he served as an Executive Director/C.F.O until September 2016 when he resigned from the Board to work full time as the Managing Director of Bukkha Hospitality Limited; trading under the brand name Bukka Hut; a Company he co-founded in July 2011, which has now grown to 10 outlets in Lagos with more in the pipeline.
Rasheed currently serves on the Board of Saroafrica International Ltd as an Independent Non-Executive Director.
